Way back in the mists of time, I used to be a regular poster on an image messageboard known as b3ta. The website still exists, but I haven't frequented on it for the longest of times. However,
They all look pretty primitive now, but this is from the days when the b3ta website would only allow images of a maximum of 250 kilobytes to be posted. They were as much a challenge to myself as anything else, to see if I condense the raw essence of a movie into a stamp sized frame in few enough frames to fit into those restrictive constraints.
They're all attached here, for your viewing pleasure. Star Wars Episodes IV to VI got me on the Lucasfilm Christmas card list, and was my fifteen minutes of fame back in 2008.
From top to bottom;
Star Wars IV: A New Hope
Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars VI: The Return of the Jedi
Purgatory 1, 2, 3 - my attempt at a small simple cowboy tale.
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
(These were all from a project I created allowing other pixel artists to submit chunks of the film - we split the film into manageable chunks, and I assembled them all together into the finished pieces here).
Alien
Aliens
Flash Gordon
Back to the Future
Ghostbusters (an experiment with a multi-panel comic book style)
Jaws
